I am excited to introduce First in Math!  Our district bought the rights to First in Math for our students and they have been having a blast.  You can visit the site at www.firstinmath.com.  Your child has their login and password in their agenda.  First in Math is a great way for students to work on basic math skills while playing math games.  The students earn stickers as they play and they can check their status in their class, PRMS, District 2, and even the nation!  We have been playing at school and I encourage the students to play at home. We have finished chapter 2 and now moving on to chapter 3.  We will be working with adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing decimals, fractions, and mixed numbers.  Please work with your child daily and make sure they are completing their homework.  This allows them to identify where they need additional help. 

The following items are needed for my class:

• One 3 Ring binder
• 2 packs of pencils with erasers - 1 pk. to keep for yourself and 1 pk. to keep in the classroom
• 2 packs of loose leaf notebook paper - 1 pk. to keep for yourself and 1 pk. to keep in the classroom
• 3 x 5 index cards bound together with a ring OR 1 pack of multiplication flashcards
• ruler
• 1 pack of eraser- the kind that can be placed on top of your pencil
• 1 bottle of hand sanitizer
• 1 box of Kleenex
